The Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes (Euclid, Ohio) is a haven of prayer and peace in the midst of a busy world. Our Blessed Mother awaits and greets each person with her love and graces. The Shrine is administered by the Sisters of the Most Holy Trinity.
Water! Water everywhere and not a drop to use!
The Shrine and Sister’s Convent have had 3 major water problems recently causing the lack of water to the Shrine and Sister’s Convent for a day or more each time. These were major breaks in the underground piping which incurred major digging and replacement of valves and pipes. Without water the Shrine/Gift Shop and the Sister’s Convent were unable to operate properly during the days of repair. During one of the breaks we needed to cancel a Pasta fund raising dinner which was another loss of income for us.The repairs have been made and now the bills ($35,509.00 plus). Please help this cause by going to the WE GIVE CATHOLIC web page.
About the Shrine
The Shrine is a replica of the Grotto in Lourdes, France. Incorporated into the Grotto are two stones taken from the stone upon which Our Lady appeared in Lourdes. The water from the Grotto flows freely over one of these holy relics.
Since its opening (May 30, 1926) thousands of pilgrims from across the country and from Canada have come to honor Our Lady and place their petitions before her. Hundreds of favors, both spiritual and temporal, have been reported as granted.
Today, the Shrine, staffed by the Sisters of the Most Holy Trinity, is available for pilgrims and parish groups to come for prayer and reflections. The Sisters host and conduct retreats and days of recollection as requested.
